Altered Vintage Children's Storybook Photo Album

Today I went to our local thrift store and purchased this little storybook.  I wanted to make a photo album out of it so I cut off the front and back covers of the book and then took apart the interior pages.  I sorted through the pages so I could decide which images and story lines I wanted to include in the photo album.  There were so many cute images, so it was hard to decide.  The interior of the album is made from .22 chipboard which has been covered with decorative papers, images from the book, as well as some full pages from the book.  I used PVA glue (a book binding glue) to adhere the storybook images.  Since the pages were fragile, I wanted to use a good flexible glue, which is the PVA glue.  I also wanted to add a little protection to the storybook images so I embossed with clear embossing powders.  Even though some of the wording from the back side of the page did seep through, I liked the final outcome.  I hope you enjoy viewing this little photo album.  Simple to make, and to me it is adoreable!  Thank you for visiting my blog!
