Butterfly Card
This is a butterfly card that I made. Let me start off by saying that cards are really hard for me to make. I start with an idea and choose my colors. I do ok, with the colors but when it comes to assembling and adding 'bling' or sentiments I get lost...Esepcially with the sentiments. I am not sure why I am so intimidated by using sentiments, but it is just really hard for to come up with an idea of how to incorporate iwth the card. For example, on this card, I think there is a nice area along the ribbon where I sentiment could go. I found two stamps that I liked, but wasn't for sure which one I wanted to use. So, I stamped both on a piece of white cardstock. My intentions was to cut them out and add to the card along the ribbon. But, after I stamped it, and cut it out, it just looked wierd and I couldn't figure out what else to do...
Anyway, overall I like the card. I really like the butterfly. I found the butterflies at "Dollar Tree", three to a package. I think I may go back to pick up some more because they are reallly cute...
Hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave suggestions or if you know of a good site that I can go to, to learn more about adding sentiments, please let me know...Thank you...

Simple Mother's Day Card
Mother's Day is the bitter-sweet holiday for me. I was blessed with a wonderful mother who was talented and creative beyond belief. I was fortunate that she took the time to pass on some of her creative abilities to me and I am blessed that I am able to share those talents with others.
When I was fourteen, my mother passed away from cancer. It left a huge hole in my heart and a void that I will never be able to fill. But, I carry with her gift of art and her love will always be in my heart.
Later, in life, my father remarried a jewel. I was further blessed to have someone in my life that I am proud to call mom and my friend. We laugh, at times, saying that we forget that we are not blood. But, we share a special bond that I wish more step-parents and children could share. She has never taken the place of my mother, nor does she want too, but she has always been there for me as a mother figure and even after the passing of my father, she still continues to bless my life.
So, even though it is early...Happy Mother's Day to all of you.

Simple Cards
I have created a couple of very simple cards the last couple of days. Life has been busy and I am just flat out tired. However, I think it is important for me to find a little time everyday to do something that I enjoy and just let everything else go.
