Blue Pysanky Egg
This is an egg I worked on this evening. I still need to coat the egg with clear varnish, remove the yolk, and add a hanger to it. Usually Pysanky eggs use multiple colors as well as traditional designs, so this is more of a non-traditional style of Pysanky. However, I did use a kistka to apply the bees wax to draw my design and used the proper dyes (aniline dyes). I have been working with these types of eggs for about 10 years, off and on. I love that I never know what I will come up with. Thank you for taking a look...
