Butterfly Card
This is a butterfly card that I made. Let me start off by saying that cards are really hard for me to make. I start with an idea and choose my colors. I do ok, with the colors but when it comes to assembling and adding 'bling' or sentiments I get lost...Esepcially with the sentiments. I am not sure why I am so intimidated by using sentiments, but it is just really hard for to come up with an idea of how to incorporate iwth the card. For example, on this card, I think there is a nice area along the ribbon where I sentiment could go. I found two stamps that I liked, but wasn't for sure which one I wanted to use. So, I stamped both on a piece of white cardstock. My intentions was to cut them out and add to the card along the ribbon. But, after I stamped it, and cut it out, it just looked wierd and I couldn't figure out what else to do...
Anyway, overall I like the card. I really like the butterfly. I found the butterflies at "Dollar Tree", three to a package. I think I may go back to pick up some more because they are reallly cute...
Hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave suggestions or if you know of a good site that I can go to, to learn more about adding sentiments, please let me know...Thank you...

I like your blog!...Daniel
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the card. I remember when I first started making cards...it was like an elementary student made them. The more you make cards the easier it gets. I am still learning, but I have found that participating in blog hops, card exchanges, and watching videos on youtube really help. I am a new follower, too. I like the variety of crafts you have on here...
