Over the last few weeks, since summer began, my family and I have been doing a bit of traveling. We spent the first week of our summer break in Michigan, visiting family and traveling to Mackinaw. We came home for a few days and left for Dauphine Island to spend some time with my sister and her family. We had a blast! We arrived home on a Saturday, and I left out on Sunday to go to a week long Art Retreat Workshop. It was work related but it was awesome, I always enjoy going to these retreats in the summer.
So, in between being away from home and having a few moments to spare, I have worked on a few things. The painting I worked on while at the retreate.
Thank you for taking a look at my blog...
This is an oil painting, that I am very proud of. I am not an oil painter, so this was my first attempt at painting a landscape since I was in college. I think it turned out nicely. There are a few changes I need to make, but for this one, I think I will leave it as it is.
These butterflies are made from acetate. Some are colored with Copics, and some just have paper attached to chipboard for the underlying color. I had a lot of fun making these and look forward to experimenting with more butterflies.
These are bridal gift tags that I made. I have never really made gift tags so wanted to give it a whirl. I think they turned out nicely...
Thank you for visiting my blog!...Deanna
